North Carolina School of
the Arts
to established the Rudolf Nureyev Distinguished
Professorship in Dance, an endowment fund for the guest
artists program at the North Carolina School of the Arts School of
Dance to honor in perpetuity the memory
of Rudolf Nureyev.

The Harid Conservatory
to provide a Rudolf Nureyev Fellowship for Dance for selected
students of the Harid Conservatory in honor of Rudolf Nureyev. Fellowships were presented to Bridgett Zehr and
Jonathan Dummar Wednesday, September 19, 2001. Bridgett has joined
the Houston Ballet. Jonathan is dancing with Ballet Memphis in
Tennessee.
Amanda Green and Matthew Adamczyk - 2002-2003. Amanda accepted a
position with BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio. Matthew was hired by
Joffrey Ballet Chicago.

to purchase a state-of-the-art Harlequin
Stage Panel Sprung Floor system and dance floor covering to be used
in the Music and Dance Theater Chicago new 1,500-seat theater.
The Oregon Ballet Theatre
Creation of a Guest Artist Fund sponsoring a 2 week residency
for visiting artists -2002/2003.
National Dance Institute
Establishment of the Rudolf Nureyev Scholarship Fund with
announcement during the May 13, 2002 gala.
Dance Theatre of Harlem
Sponsored performances and educational events May 29 - June 1, 2002.
Houston Ballet
Established the "Rudolf Nureyev Opportunity Fund for Male Dancers"
2002 & 2003. Some of the students who benefited from the Fund
are: Percy Perks, Connor Walsh,
Peter Zweifel, John Karim, Chris Coomer, McGee Maddox, Jesse Marks, Jim
Peronto and Cameron Schwanz.

new work, Split Sides, a 40-minute work composed twinned
elements, such as costumes, sets, musicians and lighting, selection of
which is determined by chance in the roll of dice.

Dance Company - to support new choreography, Chaconne, a
multi-media 18-minute work, for the Company's 20th Anniversary 2003/2004
and 2004/2005.
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre
- to establish a scholarship program for high school students
participating in Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School's pre-professional
division.
