Founded in 1992, the Rudolf Nureyev Dance Foundation has contributed over $4,000,000 in grants to benefit dance in the United States in memory of Rudolf Nureyev.
  • School of American Ballet
    for the Rudolf Nureyev Scholarship given annually to promising young male dancers pursuing advanced training at the School of American Ballet.
    Scholarship recipients are as follows:

    1994 - Kurt and Kyle Froman, twins from Fort Worth, Texas
    1995 - Alexander Laskov
    1996-1997 - Jared Angle and Adam Hendrickson
    1997-1998 - Jonathan Stafford, Craig Hall and Aaron Severini
    1998-1999 - Ben Griffiths, Manuel Herrera and Daniel Ulbricht
    1999-2000 - Tobin Eason, Ben Griffiths and Manuel Herrera
    2000-2001 - Allen Peiffer, David Blumenfeld and Ben Griffiths
    2001-2002 - Benjamin Griffiths, Allen Peiffer and David Blumenfeld
    2002-2003 - Allen Peiffer, Arron Scott and Daniel Applebaum
    2003-2004 - Troy Schumacher, Daniel Applebaum and Anthony Huxley
    2004-2005 - Anthony Huxley, Matthew J. Renko, and Darius Barnes
    2005-2006 - Matthew J. Renko and Russell Janzen
    2006 - 2007 - Russell Janzen, and brothers Slawomir and Michal Wozniak, originally from Warsaw, Poland

  • Lyric Opera of Chicago
    to assist in Lyric's 40th Gala season production of Aida - 1994, to support the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists sponsorship of young artists - 1997, and to affix a plaque to the right arm of seat X2 in aisle 4 of the Ardis Krainik Theatre "In Memory of Rudolf Nureyev" - 1998.  Please look for this seat next time you attend the Lyric Opera.  2004- Lyric Opera's 50th Anniversary  - Aida

  • Wellesley College Dancers
    to assist the Wellesley College Dancers - 1994.

  • Paul Taylor Dance Company
    to re-stage Book of Beasts during Paul Taylor Dance Company's 1995-1996 season and videotape of the work by the Paul Taylor Repertory Preservation Project.  Funds were provided for events in June 2002. 2003-2004 - Paul Taylor's 50th Anniversary.  For more about the Paul Taylor Dance Company click here: http://www.ptdc.org.

  • American Friends of the Paris Opera Ballet

  • Rudolf Nureyev: 3 Years in the Kirov Theater
