6/15 through 7/11/81 - London - Nureyev Festival: Festival Ballet - Giselle (Evdokimova) and Beauty; Boston Ballet - Swan Lake (Mouis).

6/17/81 - London - TV interview - "Royal Ballet treated RN like tea cosy."  London Coliseum with Boston Ballet: Swan Lake with scenery and costumes by Julia Trevalyn Oman, choreography by Bruce Wells and Violette Verdy.

7/13 through 8/1/81 - New York - La Scala (American debut): Romeo and Juliet (Fracci and Fonteyn) and Giselle (Fracci, at the Met.

8/4/81 - Miami - Giselle

8/11/81 - Puerto Rico - Apollo, Raymonda pas.

10/81 - Bari - Homage to Diaghilev (Fonteyn and Florence corps.)

12/81 - Manchester - Sleeping Beauty (filled in for Nicholas Johnson).

1/82 - Paris - RN accepts position of Director of Paris Opera.

1/82 - New York - Filming "Exposed".

1/14-31/82 - Paris - Ballet de Nancy: Homage to Diaghilev.

1/25/82 - Austria - RN becomes a citizen of Austria

2/13 & 23/82 - London - Royal Ballet: Swan Lake (Collier and Porter); first time with Royal since 1977; Fonteyn in audience.  Also restaged and danced in La Bayadere (3/25 with Park and 3/27 with Brind).

2/23 - 28/82 - Florence - Homage to Diaghilev replaced Raymonda (due to strikes).

3/82 - USA - TV - Gala of Stars - Beauty solo with Yehudi Menuhin.

3/11 - 21/82 - Boston - Boston Ballet: Don Quixote staged by Nureyev, and with scenery and costumes by Nicholas Giorgiadis (Laura Young, Marie-Christine Mouis), orchestral score arranged by John Lanchbery.

3/17-31/82 - Vienna - State Opera: Beauty, Pierrot, wayfarer, Swan.

4/5 - 5/8/82 - US/Mexico - Boston Ballet: Don Quixote - 5 week tour: Atlanta, San Antonio, St. Louis, New Orleans, Guanajuato, Miami, Knoxville, Indianapolis, Mexico City.

5/21/82 - London - Nigel Gosling dies. (Alexander Bland)

6/1 through 7/82 - London - Nureyev Festival: London Festival - Romeo & Juliet; Zurich Ballet - Manfred; Ballet Theatre Francais from Nancy - Homage to Diaghilev

7/82 - Turkey - Festival Ballet: Giselle

7/82 - Macerata - Festival Ballet: Beauty (Desutter).

7/82 - 8/82 - Italy & France- Boston Ballet on 4 week European tour (Rome, Ravena, etc.): Don Quixote (Mouis) and Giselle.
