6/83 - 8/83 - Europe - Boston Ballet 6-week tour: Don Quixote, Giselle and Swan Lake (Morishita), in Italy, France,  Belgium, England (Manchester)

6/27 thru 7/23/83 - London - Nureyev Festival at the Coliseum: Boston Ballet- Don Quixote (Morishita, Mouis, Loudieres) and Swan Lake; Ballet de Nancy - Homage to Diaghilev (an injury forced RN to cancel some performances of Spectre); Wayfarer (Patrick Armand) and Miss Julie - first time in London - (Evdokimova)

7/1/83 - Toronto - Eric Bruhn becomes Director of National Ballet.

7/83 - New York - Ballet National de Marseille: Notre Dame (Makarova and Khalfouni)

8/10/83 - Boston - Boston Ballet: Don Quixote - RN tears calf muscle in preview, finishes performance with Halnaut helping, season cancelled, Boston Ballet in financial difficulty.

9/1/83 - Paris - RN becomes Director of Paris Opera Ballet, announces 13 varied programs for first season.

11/83 - London - RN repertoire at Covent Garden: Apollo, Raymonda Act III, The Tempest.

11/5/83 - Paris - Paris Opera: premiere of Raymonda; RN danced second night on 11/6 (later dance Abderam).

11 - 12/83 - Italy - Paris Opera Ballet on tour: Don Quixote and Coppelia (RN danced in both)

12/3 - 20/83 - Paris - Opera Comique: RN danced in Falco's Black & Blue.

12/17/83 - Paris - Paris Opera: premiere of Don Quixote; RN danced second night 12/19.

12/83 - Nancy - Homage to Diaghilev

12/26/83 - England - BBC-TV: La Scala's filmed version of R&J

1/11 - 19/84 - Rome - La Sylphide (Thesmar)

1/23/84 - Paris - Martha Graham Gala (first American modern dance company at Opera House)  RN danced in Phaedra's Dream.

2/12/84 - London - Royal Ballet: RN replaced injured Jude in La Bayadere.  More about Charles Jude

3/13/84 - New York - Martha Graham Dance Co.: NY premiere of Phaedra's Dream.

3/84 - Paris - Opera Comique: RN danced in Bourgeois Gentilhomme and Harlequin, Magician for Love.

3/84 - Paris - Paris Opera: Marco Spada, The Tempest
