5/9 - 12/84 - Toronto - National Ballet: Sleeping Beauty (Kain)

5/13/84 - New York - 100th Anniversary Gala at the Met: Sleeping Beauty grand pas de deux with Kain.

6/3 - 9/84 - San Antonio - Berlin Ballet: La Sylphide and Miss Julie (Evdokimova).

6/6/84 - Philadelphia - Pennsylvania Ballet Gala: American premiere of Bach Suite and Apollo with Suzanne Farrell.

6/84 - Paris - Paris Opera: Balanchine's Violin Concerto.

6/23/84 - Nottingham - Northern Ballet: Sleeping Beauty (Desutter)

7/84 - Italy - Danced in Rome with Guillem (?); at Spoleto: Apollo and Bach Suite.

7 - 8/84 - Italy - Matsuyama Ballet Co.: Giselle and Swan Lake (Morishita).  Note: 8/6 extra performance of Swan Lake at Baths of Caracalla.

8/9-12/84 - Athens - Paris Opera Ballet: Raymonda, at Herod Atticus.  (Opening night some dancers in corps, unhappy over slapping of Renault, carried on until RN disciplined them on stage.)

8/16-26/84 - New York, Gershwin Theater - Nureyev and Friends: Apollo, Wayfarer, Moor's Pavane, Flower Festival pas, Dolin's Pas de Quatre (Evdokimova, Guizerix, DeSutter, Mouis, Saland.

8/29-31/84 - Edinburgh - Edinburgh Festival - Paris Opera: Commedia il'Arte program (Carnaval; Harlequin, Magician for Love; Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme.  Note: tore up sketches by artist Emilio Coia in wings.

?/84 - Far East - Vienna State Opera tour with RN.

10/2-8/84 - Japan - Masako Ohya Competition - RN coached Maurin and Legris.

10/84 - Paris - Paris Opera: Romeo & Juliet - RN danced Mercutio.

11/84 - Berlin - Berlin Festival: two Bolshoi dancers cancelled because RN was performing.

11/84 - Paris - Brief strike by Paris Opera dancers.

12/84 - Russia- RN's mother had cataract operation and was moved into Urals.

12/84 - New York - Announcement that Paris Opera wouldn't be coming to New York in June due to financial considerations.

12/22/84 - Paris - Paris Opera Ballet: premiere of Swan Lake. Later, RN danced both Siegfried and Rothbart.

12/31/84 thru 1/6/85 - India - Paris Opera Ballet: Apollo, Wayfarer, Flower Festival, Don Quixote; RN danced every night; in Delhi and Bombay.  Note: Lorry crashed into RN's bus.  He wasn't hurt.

1/9-20/85 - Italy - Ballet de Nancy: Homage to Diaghilev, Swan Lake

2/27 & 28/85 - Stratford/Avon - Festival Ballet: La Sylphide at the Royal Shakespeare replacing Vladimir Derevianko who had work permit difficulty.

2-3/85 - Paris - Paris Opera: Homage to Tudor (Continuo, Dark Elegies, Shadowplay, Lilac Garden)

4/8/85 - France - Television - Raymonda with Pontois

4/85 - Paris  - Paris Opera: New production of Giselle (Mary Skeaping) - Baryshnikov danced in place of RN.
