6/6/85 - Paris - Paris Opera: premiere of Washington Square.

6/18-24/85 - Chicago - Paris Opera: Cancelled - due to supposed illness of RN (couldn't guarantee enough performances).

6/25 - 26/85 - Miami -  Miami Ballet: Giselle (Collier).

6/28 - 29/85 - Cleveland - Nureyev & Friends: Apollo, Wayfarer, Cleveland Orchestra

7/29-8/10/85 - London - Matsuyama: Swan Lake, Giselle

8/11-17/85 - Edinburgh - Scottish Ballet: La Sylphide; special performance for 300th anniversary of Bach, danced Bach Suite and Sleeping Beauty Act II solo (Yehudi Menuhin played).  Note: Critic noted strange "pauses" in choreography of Bach Suite and blamed unplanned repeat of some stanzas of music (not RN's memory).

8/19-24/85 - Manchester - Ballet de Nancy: Homage to Diaghilev.

10/25/85 - New York - "April in Paris" Ball honoring the Paris Opera at the Waldorf.

10/30 -31/85 - London - Northern Ballet Co.: Miss Julie

10-11/85 - Paris - Paris Opera: Swan Lake (Bourmeister)

11/85 - Paris - Paris Opera, Salle Favart: La Dansomanie (Cramer/Gardel).

12/85 - Paris - Paris Opera: RN's Nutcracker (RN danced on the 21st, 29th and 30th).

12/25/85 - London - TV: "The Perfect Partnership"

1/86 - Geneva - Paris Opera: Nutcracker

1/31 - 2/8/86 - Paris - Paris Opera: Washington Square instead of scheduled Manfred.  Rudolf Nureyev commissioned the revival of Merce Cunningham's Un Jour ou deux, first performed in Paris, November 1973,  to be performed opposite Washington Square and Manfred January - March 1986.  Music by John Cage, costumes and decor by Jasper Johns.   www.merce.org

6/24/86 - Paris - Paris Opera: Don Quixote opens.

7/4/86 - New York - ABT: Giselle (Makarova)

7/8/86 - New York - Met gala, Paris Opera and ABT: Raymonda versus Push Comes to Shove (RN has cameo); Leslie Caron (pas de trois with RN and Misha), Barbara, etc.

7/9-19/86 - New York  - Paris Opera: Swan Lake, Les Mirages, Washington Square, Palais de Cristal, Raymonda variations; at the Met; Legris made an etoile on stage.
